Gerald Dipietro
Gerald Di Pietro has served as Music Director/Organist since April 2003. Having studied classical piano as a youngster at the West Hartford School of Music (1961-63) and Yale University (1963-67), Gerry, a member of the second graduating class at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in 1963, started playing the organ as a seventh-grader in 1962 and continued as a part-time organist at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church until 1992. He then served as a part-time Organist at Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Lucy's and Trinity Episcopal Churches in Waterbury for the next 11 years. Gerry also spent 32 years in the newspaper industry before returning to Mount Carmel, including 26 years as a Copy Editor in the sports department of the New Haven Register. He also serves as the organist for the Connecticut Elks Association and the Waterbury Lodge of Elks and a pianist for various musical groups in the area, including the Kollege Kapers of Naugatuck.
