Fr. Frederick M. Aniello

A native of Hartford, Connecticut, Fr. Aniello is a graduate of St. Augustine School and South Catholic High School in Hartford.  In 1968, Fr. Aniello entered the Order of Augustinian Recollects. After having completed his theological studies at Immaculate Conception (Darlington Seminary) in Mahwah, New Jersey, he was ordained to the priesthood on May 19, 1979 at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, New York, by the Most Reverend Anthony F. Mestice, Auxiliary Bishop of New York.   In 1980, he returned to the Archdiocese of Hartford.  In addition to his duties as Pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Father is also the State Chaplain of the Order of Sons of Italy for Connecticut.  He is Chaplain for UNICO National of Wethersfield and Hartford, and is also involved in the Waterbury Chapter of UNICO.  He also serves as a Hartford Police Chaplain since 1992 and is Chaplain for the Italian Police Officers Association of Hartford.  Since his ordination, Fr. Aniello has been actively involved with the Italian communities wherever he has served.
